Following are the results of our poll, taken from a population of women 18 year old and avid Internet app users. I guess we still want to TOUCH, FEEL, SMELL and TRY before we purchase...
This is a generalized result chart from a sample of 32 women.

What is it about PEPLUM?

Let's go straight to the point....because you really want to know, why is peplum a lasting trend, and not just a fad....
Peplum is one of the best tools to create a waist where there is none. In the case of many women who have naturally a rectangular or oval natural silhouette, we image consultants and stylists encourage the use of peplum to create volume below the natural waist, and visually project a waist. But what makes it great is that many women who do have waist but have lost it momentarily (hopefully) after having babies, or due to medical reasons.....(we don't want to think its merely out of not taking good care of yourself) but I know it happens....It works for them also!!!!

Who should maybe be cautious about wearing peplum? If you are below average in height, and that is 5 feet 4 inches, or 1 meter 63 cm.

Why? It will make you appear even shorter, by cutting your line abruptly in a horizontal direction. Try it though if you are very slim, as you always will appear taller than you are, or wear the highest heels you own, like the girl wearing the light green top, if you must wear that peplum dress, skirt, or shirt!

Las consultoras y estilistas de imagen sabemos que lo que hace más femenina la figura es la Cintura! El Peplum es El Salvador de todas aquellas mujeres que por contextura física y silueta natural no tienen una cintura definida. También las mujeres que han dado a luz recientemente, o que han tenido problemas médicos, pueden quedar menos en forma. Todas ellas son las candidatas oficiales para usar Peplum.

Quien no debería usarlo? Si eres muy baja de altura, y estas por debajo del promedio, que es aprox. 1 metro 63 cm, debes tener cuidado y ponerte tacos altos para equilibrar la figura.

El Peplum cuanto más obvio, más corta tu figura en dos de manera horizontal. Un consejo es también usar top and bottom del mismo color, asi creas una línea vertical en contraste!

Hay de todo ahora, Peplum en faldas, vestidos, en todo tipo de tops, prueba los que más te gustan y juega combinandolos!

ANKLE CUFFS! are up,coming, staying and sexy!

The biggest SHOE TREND, that I really really like....ankle cuffs maybe? Oh yes! And not only they were everywhere @ New York Fashion Week, but you will see them now @ many top designer boutiques here in NYC.
This is not a "new" trend. Ankle cuff shoes, have always been on the Fashion repertoire of shoe Designers...but what makes them special this time?

• They are bolder, bigger, chunkier...screaming...look at me!!!!
• They are not only designed for sandals....traditionally used to keep our feet in place, by grabbing our ankles tightly. Toes will usually tend to slip towards the empty space at the tip of sandals (specially if you have narrow or thin feet).....
• This ankle cuffs are not functional, but Decorative.
• Shoes are decorated by wearing a separate ankle cuff on top!
• Pants are being pulled up and folded at the hemline, so everyone can see the "decorated" ankles!

Take a look at the pictures, the first 3 pairs have an ankle cuff incorporated as part of the shoe design, the other 5 have individual ankle cuffs, that can be worn with "almost" any shoe!

Beware!!! Caution!!!!

• If you have very wide ankles, or short and wide legs, ankle cuffs will further create width and visually shorten the legs. Specially if they are from a shiny material, like the ones we see in gold.
• If you have thick ankles but you must use ankle cuffs this season....my recommendation is that you wear them with high heels and stick with a balanced width, too thin or too chunky is not recommended.
